Gabriel Macht recently gave an explanation for his decision to reprise his role as Harvey Specter in the upcoming West Coast spinoff of Suits: L.A. Top attorney Harvey Specter and his talented protégé Mike Ross were at the heart of the first Suits series, which aired from 2011 to 2019 and focused on the high-stakes world of corporate law. The action now moves to Ted Black (Stephen Amell), an entertainment lawyer negotiating the competitive Hollywood business, in the Suits spinoff. NBC will premiere Suits: L.A. on February 23.

In an interview with People, Macht explained his decision to return to the Suits universe boils down to one simple motivation: the fans. The actor returns to reprise Suits’ most beloved litigator despite having little interest in returning to the industry, as his newest whiskey line, Bear Fight, has just dropped. The actor revealed that his only reason for coming back was to give something back to the devoted Suits fanbase.
