Lucy (2014) is a science fiction action film directed by Luc Besson and starring Scarlett Johansson as the title character. The story follows Lucy, a young woman living in Taipei who is tricked into delivering a mysterious briefcase. She is captured and forced to carry a package of synthetic drug inside her body. When the drug leaks into her system, it unlocks her brain’s full potential, granting her extraordinary abilities like telekinesis, instant knowledge absorption, and control over time and matter.

As Lucy’s powers rapidly evolve, she seeks out Professor Samuel Norman (played by Morgan Freeman), a neurologist who has studied the limits of the human brain. While being hunted by the criminal organization that implanted the drugs in her, Lucy races against time as her transformation pushes her beyond human limitations. The film explores philosophical ideas about intelligence, existence, and the future of humanity as Lucy transcends physical form.
