28 Years Later (2025)

“28 Years Later” is a post-apocalyptic horror film set for release on June 20, 2025. Directed by Danny Boyle and written by Alex Garland, the film is the first installment in a new trilogy, continuing the narrative established by “28 Days Later” (2002) and “28 Weeks Later” (2007).

The story takes place 28 years after the outbreak of the rabies virus, which devastated the world’s population. A group of survivors has established a quarantined community on Lindisfarne Island, off the coast of Great Britain.

The narrative centers on a boy named Spike, played by Aaron Taylor-Johnson, who undertakes a dangerous journey beyond the confines of the island to seek medical assistance for his ailing mother. This quest takes him across the desolate and infected continent, where he faces new threats and discovers disturbing truths about the world beyond his sheltered existence.
