“Avengers: The Kang Dynasty” was initially scheduled for release on May 2, 2025, as the fifth installment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). However, due to unforeseen circumstances, including actor Jonathan Majors’ legal issues, the film’s direction has shifted.

Marvel Studios has announced that the movie will now feature Robert Downey Jr. returning as the villain Doctor Doom, with Joe and Anthony Russo directing. The film is now titled “Avengers: Doomsday” and is set to release on May 1, 2026.
